OK so there's only 8.3 Danish krone to the pound & and we had 3 kids so we always new Denmark was going to be punishingly expensive. Stayed in Aarhus as our sleep over stop, mainly becasue Billund has no hostels! Didn't do anything on our night there, as it had taken us about 8 hours to make it there from Berlin, many change overs on trains!

Went to Legoland on the second day. It was ace! Though many children running around, & they seem to think that Criel as an amazing city in Scotland. We eventually got water rides, something whcih we have been looking for since we started!

Even though we liked the museum we were ready to move on to the town of Ribe, which is the oldest town in Denmark and also had a hostel and an island near it which appealed to us.  There were a lot of children in the park; however, in contrast to America, none of the children were on leashes.  Interestingly, many of them had their phone number written on their arm in ...

They had more supervision than I had noticed in Copenhagen but the lack of leashes was reflective of the Danish culture. Further, Lego play stations were located in the midst of the lines so that the children could occupy themselves while their parents made their way through the ride line.
