... that was a good one.

After I got my ticket (there were still plenty available) I had some fried bananas! and roti for 'lunch.' while I waited for the boat (1:30). I thought about walking down to Wisma Merbeka to get lunch from the yummy quiche place down there but it was really hot and it would have been a good fifteen minute walk each direction so I decided not to.

Finally the boat started boarding so I headed on board. They ...

... somewhere nice for Hannah's birthday meal so found the best five star, possibly the only five star hotel on the island and headed there for dinner. Sadly it didn't live up to our expectations at all. I think our standards were set way too high after the incredible Bangkok buffet we had with Ella and Besty hehehe!

Never the less a relatively relaxing few days which is what Hannah wanted after a busy ...

Ferry to Labuan, Duty free rocks!

    ... part of the world.

Back at the room we had to work out a way to get these free beers cold, its a must. Brad had the great idea of destroying the front of the AC unit that is hanging from the wall and tucking the beer inside. It seems retarded but it worked, with in 20 minutes they were ice cold. We sat and watched ‘Wipeout USA’ on TV for a while and just relaxed with our new found, cold, friends.

    Come 20:00 we ...

    Tioman ... lunch time tragedy!

A travel blog entry by hsip_15 on Oct 15, 2007

... away by the underwater current. I thought that the fire was on a snorkelling boat where all on board would be given proper life jackets. Later someone said that everyone jumped from a speed ferry that was on the way to Mersing. That was frightening. None of us on board put on life jackets on the way to Tioman and all the life jackets were neatly tucked in racks above our seats. Neatly tucked with plastic covers. On the way to Tioman, I asked ...

After getting up early and leaving KL at like 7 for Melaka, I wasn't too thrilled to be there. We got to our guesthouse and it consisted of two beds. That's it. No outlet, no bathroom, just two beds and a very small lamp and a ceiling fan that went so slow it really wasn't worth it. I just got a bad feeling and was not happy to be in Melaka. We walked a half an hour to Old Town (oh the guest house was also in the middle of nowhere) and got lunch. Then ...
