... that we really needed a bit of heat to get the muscle recovery going! So we headed to the sauna, and chose the hot program (there were two settings to choose from) after 15 minutes in the sauna and then a quick shower we were back in the pool for a bit before heading back to the room to relax. Emma went straight to the bath to soak and I headed back downstairs to get a beer before settling in on the private balcony to enjoy the majestic view and write some blogs! A while later ...

... amazing, the highlight of course was the parmesan foam, which although we were sceptical really did taste like parmesan cheese.

... up the mountain for about 45min. The views all the way were like you're in a nature documentary and the very highest we got on the road was 2400m above sea level. No way near the highest peak in Switzerland (4600m) but it seemed like we were on top of the world. The road then continued back down the other side with more hairpin corners that I had mastered ...

... 10.30am. Try doing that out of Sydney. Of course too early to check in to our hotel room so we left our luggage at the Alphorn and were back on the local train system again heading for altitude. Wendy had mapped out a day of activity that would have challenged the most energetic after a good nights sleep let alone weary travellers who had yet to see a good bed after 28 hours. So we took the cog wheel trains up, up and up and it got colder ...
