Eventually, by asking again we came through Krefeld and had our first glimpse of the Rhine. We could not ride along the river as we had hoped, but had to divert away to pass all the heavy industry spread out on the waterfront. Saying goodbye was hard, but we consoled ourselves with the prospect of the exciting adventure that lay before us: crossing the Channel to England!

I have two tests tomorrow, plus Halloween, then Thursday all my Honors things are due, but nothing will be getting done Wednesday night I'm sure so I have to do it all today! Not to mention I have to pack for Berlin AND Italy by Thursday night - we're leaving 6:30AM Friday morning. I have maps to print, people to pay pack, addresses to write down.
