... am used to being looked at differently when I come to China. I rarely notice it any more. But at times on this trip, it became a bit overwhelming. One such place was Xilin Hot in Inner Mongolia! I could not go more than 5 feet without another group of giggling locals shyly coming up and wanting me in a photo with them! I have had parents push shy kids towards me to practice a ...

I went back to Jasmine's house where her mum taught me how to make dumplings. They were very tasty. It was quite a challenge though as her parents spoke no English. We then travelled from island to island, to ...

... least bit bothered! The highlights of our flight to Xiamen - Mrs Bryce hoarded a dozen bananas and a Chinese man photobombed Kyle's selfie. As ever, we recieved a very warm welcome from our Xiamen hosts, and after feeding us we were taken on a shopping trip where our pupils got a chance to meet some of their Chinese counterparts. A different group of students accompanied us to a different mall on the second day - and unfortunately some encured the wrath of Mrs Bryce due to a last ...
