        ... we again found northwest winds that didn't die until late afternoon. Then we had fog until just before we arrived at Tobermory.

        We plan on a 40 mile run to Squaw Island tomorrow with light winds. We'll see.

        If you are wondering about Charlie, he is doing great. He has even learned to poop and pee on the square of sod that I brought along for that purpose. He's a good sea dog!

        ... the day before, and then onto Lion's Head (a small beach town on the way to our next destination). We stopped here for lunch in 50's bakery and diner, and while trying to find the public washrooms beforehand a fox with a squirrel in his mouth ran right past us. The second time we had seen a fox, but the first while we hadn't been driving. The beach at Lion's Head, although on a lake not actually on an ocean, had sand. Real sand!!! Not very nice sand, but sand all the same!

        The final national park for the trip - YAY!!

        ... to eat. We walk around for a while to look for view points and we settle on one and chill out (literally cause its pretty cold).

        We continue on in search of the Grotto. Apparently we had only found the Indian Head Cove. We meet a nice couple walking their dog who tells us that we are close, but we still have to look for the cave in the ocean and there is a way down into the Grotto from a hole in the top of cove. So we follow the track and ...

        ... on this first day of the long weekend. When we came over a hill into a small town, there was a stunningly high steeple of the Lutheran and Anglican Church. Carol was able to snap a picture! There were several markets open for business along the way, selling summer vegetables and fruits—even late harvest strawberries. They will have lots of apples and other fall tasties in another month!! We also saw lots of cattle and hay operations ...
