... I read and napped. Nothing exciting about getting over jet lag on a rainy day! Dinner, I ventured out... in the rain. I wish it was a light summer rain, but no, chilly downpour teaming with heavy wind. I made my way fairly easily to the restaurant down the street. I felt a little like the game frogger trying to cross the street, but after watching several people walk across and wait at the yellow line for a break in the action, I was crossing like a local quite ...

The beach was busy but as its so massive it doesn't feel busy at all there is so much space ...

... the baby Tiger cubs and weren't able to come into the "Big Cat" enclosure with Joanne and I. I'm not sure how safe this new attraction is as it has only been in operation for a year or so, but it was well worth the experience. We had a buffet lunch, mainly Thai food at the Tiger Kingdom place, and sat in front of 3 gorgeous Tigers, watching ...

... missed - the Big Buddha and Chalong Temple.

Again, we discovered it is much cheaper to hire a taxi thru the Reception Desk at the Hotel than on the streets. It cost 850 Baht thru the Hotel and we were quoted 1200 Baht on the street. Our taxi driver was very friendly and the min bus was very comfortable. Leather seats, airconditioned and spacious.

We have noticed that just about every vehicle in Phuket is in excellent ...
