People of all sexes and ages were killed even children that were apparently bashed against a particular tree until their brains came out - this was particularly horrific and makes me deeply sad every time I think of it. In the memorial pagoda there are the remaining skulls and bones that were excavated from the mass graves. These skulls and bones have been placed in ...

... genocide may be going on today which we are ignorantly unaware of.

After an incredibly difficult day, the National Museum allowed for the enjoyment of a beautiful selection of Khmer art and sculpture dating back through Cambodia's history the following day. A show in the Gardens was also enjoyed one evening consisting of the telling of a Cambodian folk-story with traditional music and costume.
