... to sit in we didn't order one for home. Very interesting museum with formula one and road cars from past to quite new.

Onto Parma which is synonymous with its local cheese. We visited a local farm to follow the process of cheese making. What a circus!! It was like Italian Fawlty Towers. The owner didn't speak much English so Federica our tour director translated. Early on the farmer, a woman in her sixties ...

Today we start our guided tour leaving Mantova with all the team and our leader Marco. We left the boat at 9.30am and headed back round the Lago di mezzo and on the way passed a fisherman who had just caught a 7kg carp. We then headed past Lago Superiore. From here we rode through Grazie and stopped at the Catholic Church for a look. From here we rode through Rivalta sul Mincio where we stop again for a spell. The day is heating up rapidly and ...

Our first stop is for coffee at a little restaurant on the side of the cycle path at Barozzino. The lady even gave us a small plate of cookies, very nice. Our next stop is at Valeggio where the ancient bridge across the river was once controlled by atilla the hun. Lots of people around here, very ...

... dinner until about 8:00 p.m. – but from that point on, the joint was jumping! Our meal, like many in this part of Europe, started with a meat plate which included proscuitto and salami. This was followed by bread and "chip puffs" - not sure what these are actually called but they were very light, puffy and delicious.

We are at a pizzeria so of course, the main meal was ...

Our last game of this trip in Parma against an Italian team, the Juniors. As with all of these European club teams, the ages of the players can vary from 15 to 35. They drink beer or wine and many smoke - always a surprise for the Warhawk college players.

This experience cannot be replicated at the university - the Warhawks experience not only the culture but the people. It ...
