    ... dinner until about 8:00 p.m. – but from that point on, the joint was jumping! Our meal, like many in this part of Europe, started with a meat plate which included proscuitto and salami. This was followed by bread and "chip puffs" - not sure what these are actually called but they were very light, puffy and delicious.

    ... only did he make it to third base - and with Coach Vo as the third base coach you can be sure there was a large body protecting Sam with every pitch so no line drive might make contact - but Sam boldly stole home with an impressive slide into home plate. The crowd of course roared!

    After a wonderful visit in Venice we arrived at Hotel Airone in the Italian city of Reggio Emilia. The inhabitants of this city usually just call it Reggio - it began as a Roman Colony in the 2nd Century (can you believe the history!).

    After discoverytime we all went for a cycle into town. Montagnana is a lovely 'shabby' town, I mean that in a nice way! The town is completely enclosed by the walls and it still has it's four original entrances.
