... to fit all of our stuff into him. Either my packing is getting worse or we have all managed to sneak in some more shopping along our travels. We certainly appreciated the only 1 hr travel time this change over which equates to about 8 stink bombs from Jesse's ever more toxic derrière. A Special day with two Special people!
Being in the Basque area has been a wonderful experience for us, staying with Melanie and Vincent (The Basque Man from Mauleon) we have enjoyed incredible hospitality and developed a much better understanding of the Basque Culture. ... as it turned out, it wasn't bad at all. With the 3 boxes of cracker stuff from Victoria, some waters, and mentos, we busied ourselves emptying the bag in less than 1/2 hours. Luckily for us, there was a food-trolley lady, who was going up and down the aisles the full time we were on the train.... so we ate her nibbles, and drinks,as well. I was fascinated looking out the window at mile after mile of vineyards, which never seem to stop almost the full way to Bordeaux. ...

... on top of a small castle, and which gives breathtaking panoramic views of the city. We also went for a walk along the beach - while the beach was not as high quality as the best in Sydney, it was still miles better than most European beaches, with real sand!

We had also booked in a visit to Restaurant Arzak well in advance. Once again, we ordered the degustation for two, with a red wine recommendation ...
