... the best pizza you ever have had and ever will have. This is your last day in Italy. You came back to Naples specifically to eat at this pizzeria."<br><br>Yep, I ordered a second pizza. The waiter asked if I wanted him to make it a small margherita. I said, "Nah." literally while I had a fork raised carrying a bite from my prima pizza. I ate both of those pizzas and I was so happy. I had also had a hefty beer. Needless to say I slept the entire train ride from Naples to Rome.<br>
Naples, Campania, Italy josiezim... The most sobering realization was just how similar these people were to us. Sure, there are obvious differences, but in reality we haven't come 'so far' in 2000 years. The basics are still the same. Maybe you'll disagree. But take a look at some of the pix and let me know. <br><br>Mitch, I hope I caught everything you were looking for. And before flipping through the photos ask your parents if you can look at the brothel photos, okay?<br>
Sorrento, Campania, Italy josiezimTomorrow morning we catch a train for Sorrento. We will be there for 4 nights. We will take day trip to Amalfi, but we will not be staying at the hotel there. Joe and I decided that our stay on the Amalfi coast will be more enjoyable if we do not change hotels , so we extended our stay at the hotel in Sorrento, and cancelled the one in Amalfi. Just wanted to let everyone know in case you needed to reach us.
Sorrento, Campania, Italy mandjcann... I have Malaysia on my 'to visit' list. The pizza was only offered as Margherita or Marinara. I opted for the double mozzarella margherita. And it was so incredibly fantastic. Absolutely better than anything I've ever had. The dough/crust was almost like a crepe it was so amazing. Mmmmm. Just writing about it makes me hungry again.<br><br>I went there for lunch and then hit several churches. They were really beautiful. One ...

Positano, Campania, Italy sofenjon... umbrella and raincoat got soaked through to our underwear! Next day it rained hard too but did not mind a lazy day with no sightseeing. The city of Naples has a few nice areas but is a really dirty city and one day of sightseeing was plenty. Seeing Naples and Mt. Vesuvius from a distance is the best way to see them but south of Naples and the Almafi coast is not to be missed.
Naples, Campania, Italy pathenger... as we depart and leave the Bay of Naples, we sail south through the Messina Straits around the toe of Italy toward the Greek Island of Mykonos. But we don't arrive there until October 1st, so that means we enjoy a relaxing day at sea! So far, the weather has been fantastic! Very warm temperatures and little to no cloud! Hope it continues! Se ya tomorrow! Ciao! Rick & Elsie!<br><br>
Naples, Campania, Italy ricknelsie... we saw the boat we decided that this must be a scam because it looks like any other boat - not a jet boat - but just has jet written on the side. Oh well, we were ready to pay any price not to have to take that bus again!<br><br>The boat ride was fantastic. Not only was not as scary, the views were spectacular. We decided that this is the mode of travel that people should take if they are going to Amalfi. It's absolutely heavenly!<br><br>We arrived ...
Anacapri, Campania, Italy amykclancy... relief, after the red marks vanished from time to time, I encountered a beautiful sight spray painted on a rock. Energized that my risky bet worked, and seeing that since I literally ran down the mountain unless a section was too steep for that, I had only spent fifteen minutes trail running. I ...
Anacapri, Italy matt.lawrence... to Sorrento was kind of tight, so we grabbed a fast pasta for lunch (it was very good) and went to wait for the bus back down the mountain. The first bus down was so full that only two people could get on, and we were about nine people back in line, so we didn't make it. We watched the cruise ship buses drive away and started checking the time and discussing getting a taxi, expensive or not. We really didn't want to be stuck on Capri ...
