      Last day in Thailand

A travel blog entry by megwilson on Dec 04, 2014

For our last day today, we did a Rafting/ATV tour. We got picked up early, for our 2 and a half hour drive to the base camp. First up was the white water rafting. We were rushed off in utes to the spot cause they open the dam to make the currents at 11. We were split into two groups and told to keep our feet in these hooks and if we capsize, to take them our- great advice. We were off then, and it was lots of fun! It went way too quick, we tried to get our guide to let us go longer, ...

... a few deep breathes and internal pep talk i made it down and was much more confident there after. Any way this was not a waste of time, when we got to the lagoon she shone and vibrant emerald colour and the sun was blazing through the center of the hole that lead to the blue sky, the tide must been high because she was deep enough for swimming. We indulged our selves there for half an hour or so taking in the wondrous sight before building back up the courage to ...

Wat heeft Krabi ons te bieden? Strand, zon, zee, rust en lekker eten. What does Krabi have to offer us? Beach, sun, sea, rest and good food. Dus wat hebben we gedaan vandaag? Juist, aan het strand gelegen, van de zon en de rust genoten en even in de zee geweest om af te koelen. So what did we do today? Exactly, laying on the beach, enjoying the sun and the rest and had a quick dive in the sea to cool down. Ik ben een lange wandeling gaan maken van ...

Rats , military coups, wild dogs & sun

... After five nights we headed to Krabi. Again this is a serious tourist town like anywhere in Spain. Nothing special. Again rats everywhere. I even saw one by our swimming pool so that was the end of the lazing by the pool for me. We had planned to go to Bangkok and Chang Mai but given all the trouble up there and then the introduction of the military coup we decided to skip it. Overall I was really disappointed with our experience in Thailand. There are parts if it that ...
