... beat me. It had been a close run game at the start but I lost my nerve towards the end. From Kata beach we carried on to Karon walking the length of the long sandy beach which was pretty much deserted. The large waves only a few metres from the shore made swimming too dangerous. We had booked a long tail boat trip to the smaller of the phi phi islands today. The main part of the trip was to go to maya beach where they filmed the beach. We'd had a scary experience in Koh Tao and so as much as we wanted to jump into the water, the climb to the top was slightly off putting. We did enjoy watching everybody else back flipping and enjoying it though. We did some snorkelling, saw amazing colourful fish, visited monkey island and finally Maya Bay.. 'The Beach.' Such a tiny little place but just so stunning. The water ...
