... my **** made me more than a little nervous.

When we got back to the house (which was incredibly amazing due mainly to a beer fridge and swimming pool) we were greeted with another couple of crates of beer from Tracy. If this wasnt amazing enough she then planned our route to Almeria, photocopied maps for us, gave us toiletries for the journey, cooked us an amazing Paella, and said we could contact her if there was any emergencies on route. What a hero.

Vera, Andalusia, Spain chris_jones01... seen his face, there was no emotion, there was only shock. Alex was almost sick after taking a look. I suppose, on the plus side, maggots are high in protein and we had been doing alot of cycling. Swings and roundabouts.

When we finally arrived at Tracy´s we where greeted with a crate of beer. Perfect. After we were a little drunk we went on a mission for an internet cafe. The mission ...
Vera, Andalusia, Spain chris_jones01... cycling yet. We were supposed to nail 100 miles to make it to Tracy's but after a full day of effort we only managed 75. Anyway, during this epic uphill struggle we encountered a petrol station in the middle of no where. Here they had a hose pipe where we could riskily fill our water bottles. It was at this point i decided to add the quote of the day section.

Whilst Alex was ...
Águilas, Murcia, Spain chris_jones01... these guys on a corner smoking pot therefore we decided we would ask them for directions. They were so nice they got in their car and asked us to follow them and took us straight to the condo where we were staying. The condo was O.K. but not well maintained, The air condition wasnt working,
a lot of weeds at the entrance and the patio in the back. We had to clear the weeds in the front because there were ...
Palomares,Vera, Garrucha, MoJacar, Andalusia, Spain must_travelI had to wean myseft away from the area, and the next day just drove a bit up the coast, past more un(der)-developed beaches at Escullos and El Playazo, and ended up staying in Las Negras, another fishing village which is sleepy by the water-front but with massive construction going on behind it.
Las Negras, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands travellerbruce... selling UK style food cheaper than the supermarkets but still far more expensive than at home. Most resorts have an "English" butcher, which sells cuts of meat that are more recognisable, but at a higher price than the Spanish butcher. There are the inevitable English-style pubs and Paddy's Bars. There are a number of free local papers, which advertise "English" plumbers, "English" electricians, whist ...
Garrucha, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands oldagetraveller... not ever having anything run smoothly, running out of money to go to Madrid, work getting in the way of things...life really. But now we're off. I'ts 47 degrees outside and I fixed the air-con in the car ready to leave yesterday (except that we didn't realize that we had to have Dads bloody passport stamped... done now!) So, we have an 8.30 appointment at the Embassy for the queue and probably a good 3-4hr wait to be seen. Luckily we've got somewhere to stay.
Arboleas, Spain capnconway... town and a variety of other attractions. We haven´t had time to do any of those though, because we were so busy sitting on the beach. Not that we want to **** anyone off, but as we explained, time just works differently here. Before we get completely sucked into this abnormality of the space-time, we will leave the last refuge of the Moors in two days and we will go to visit their most impressive achievement in Spain: the Alhambra in Granada. Before ...
Mojacar, Spain and Canary Islands taviniI am actually writing from Oxford, but wanted to put the map pin in Spain at the last place we went to visit. Pierce and I arrived back in Oxford yesterday after four terrific days in Spain. It was a fun-filled and action-packed last few days. Pierce arrived Thursday night pretty late. As I was going to the airport to meet him I got a phone call from two other Oxford MBA students, Chris (Canadian) and Kate (Australian). For the spring break they decided to ...
Cabo de Gata, Spain kylajane37... no bank account, no nothing. I had all of my luggage though which is more than the UW (i think) group could say. A handful of students in one group each lost one bag. Sad. The hostel bed was VERY hard but after I was used to it, it actually relieved back pain I had previously had. The bathroom of the hostel held the only outlet in the wall...oh yes! I did not have a converter! So, I could not plug in my phone to charge it, not ...
