Come to Como

... about 1 hour on the boat. There is residential along the shoreline and half way up the mountain most of the way around the lake, the further we get away from Como although it begins to thin out and clear townships can be seen.
Menaggio is, like all the other towns, a holiday destination and at this time of year most of the places are closed. We find somewhere to have lunch and then spend the afternoon wandering through the alleyways ...

Sparkling Lights in Lugano

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

I think part of the appeal and joy of our time here was reliving memories on behalf of mum, and finding all those places that gave her so much joy. I think mum also put it well in saying that whilst Bergamo is quite touristy, it ...

In the morning we headed to the Sforza Castle. The size of it blew us all away! The surroundings were so lush and green! After several requests from Joseph to go to the San Siro Stadium we finally gave in - it was a good 30 minute walk from the train station! Was well worth the visit though, we even got to go inside AC and Inter Milan clubrooms. We stopped at the cafe right near the stadium for lunch for some more paninis and then headed back to the 'Golden Quad' which ...
