... Goa were scoping out beach huts, seashell hunting, eating, napping, drinking, sudoku, and reading books. Or, we were happy not doing anything at all! We are 10 degrees from the equator, a bit closer than when we lived in Hawaii. And so, it is HOT! It's been a nice change from the cold, mountain areas, for sure.

Still on Palolem Beach
... br> We leave tomorrow at noon for the airport. Frank got a good price on a cab. It's time to leave, but we have really enjoyed Goa and especially Palolem. It is one of the nicer beaches we have ever been on and we like all the choices of restaurants, too. The water was beautiful and clean, the sand was perfect, the temperature was great, the sun shone continuously, and oh, those palm trees.There's a very good vibe about this place and we would recommend it to anyone.

Canoes all at sea and night train to Cochin
... 00 on the train, at this exact moment, there is a man selling...something I can't understand...ooh it's banana fry...back in a minute...mmm, a banana split in half lengthwise and deep fried in a spicy batter. Glad I finished eating it before this awful stinkbomb type smell turned up, eurghhh. It doesn't pay to investigate where bad smells come from here, although there was a guy going along the train selling aftershave only five minutes ago, wonder if it's a ploy?

Beach Vibe
So after the train journey from hell we rock up at Palolem Beach.
We stayed at the Cafe Del Mar thinking that it would be a nice place to stay, definetly not owned by the say folk in Ibiza, Laur got Electricuted by the shower and the toilet leaked. What can you expect from a beach hut though. When we stumbled out onto the beach in the morning though we are greeted by one of the most beautiful beaches. For the first couple of days we just chilled ...
