... Unfortunately it was a bit quick to get good photos so we didn't quite manage it, will have to rely on our memories!

The festivities continued for us at home with Eric and Pascale who put on a wonderful french meal for us and we bonded over food and drink (far too much) for many hours to come.. I think it was about 2am or later when we finally fell into bed. But not without a plan for the next day, courtesy of Eric, the man with the plan!

After farewell to Marie-Eve & Neji we hit the road for Carcassonne Castle - the must see venue for July 14 fireworks.

After around 2 hours drive, we saw the castle from a distance from the motorway, it looked spectacular and we were excited to be there for July 14. We even found a park quite close to the castle, and that's when our day took a turn for the worse.... I discovered I had left my glasses at Marie-Eve's house!!!
