We drove to Monaco, roughly 40 minutes away from where we were staying in Cannes. This morning we arrived in Monaco and due to high winds the ship had to anchor out in the bay, requiring shore tenders. ... they speak English so we were happy to be able to order without confusion. Mum and I shared a carafe of wine but the waitress also brought us all a glass of a liqueur mixed with white wine which was really nice also. We shared a bowl of bread and a nice cheesy, tomato and ham pizza for entree. For main Dad ordered octopus which I tried and it was awful, too squishy! Later that evening I was nominated to do the next wine-run and I also needed to find an avocado, which became very challenging. I wander around our surrounding streets and found, not only the avocado, but a fabulous wine bar and sushi place. I ran home excitedly having made plans for the next evening.
