... we took a train to Monaco. Monaco is a principality near France which makes it a separate sovereign country. It is famous for having a lot of ultra rich citizens (you can buy the citizenship for $25m), the famous Monte Carlo casino and being the most dense country in the world. It is also really tiny and on a good day, you can hike it easily within few hours (2 sq. km). We roamed around the casino and watched a yacht show that ...
... 8217;t sure how easy it was going to be to find a place to stop as the roads are not so easy to navigate here. We all really enjoyed a stroll along the beach, hunting for sea glass and tiles. It was really great to be by the ocean. We found a place to stop for gelato and hot chocolate. They had a tiny puppy outside on the grass, so the kids all played with him while we listened to the waves and enjoyed the sea air.
Time to drive onto the freeways as ...
... time for the little half hour train tour for 8 euros and a bite to eat before
heading back to Nice.

... with huge guns so we decided to find a washroom then go outside to find a nearby restaurant where we felt safer than the station. When we got to the washroom there was a sign on the door that said for security reasons the only washroom open was the one near the police booth...Oh my God, what is this place?! After finding that one we headed outside, what a beautiful view! There was a castle and statues in the distance so we stopped ...
... all cleared up.. So we were facing an unknown amount of time on a stranded train in the middle of nowhere! But thankfully, it was cleaned up a lot quicker than first predicted and we were on our way after like I said, an hour and a half..
I unfortunately happened to be on the correct side to see the gory scene as we passed it... it wasn't very nice.. but thankfully they had covered most of it up.
So we got through to Cannes ...
