Back on bus then off to Santa Monica Pier for a wander, should have taken the bathers as another hot day. Next stop was Venice Beach, contrast in beaches and clientele between these two. As we had the seats by the door we were first off the plane and boy was it good to be able to stretch our legs albeit for a hundred metres or so. We got to immigration and that's when things grind to a halt. We should never complain about immigration in Australia as here you get the third degree. How long are you staying in the states What are you here for When was the last time you visited the states When are ...

Around 8am, Gertrude* came to collect our uniform shirts, cabin keys, and blue cards. We said our goodbyes to her and headed up to the crew rec room for disembarkation. We got in line at the Crown Grill for immigration officers to process us, and then I said goodbye to Debbie* who was walking off to meet a friend.

Sarah* and I continued on with the rest of the group to the buses outside where I met a couple funny guys from dining staff. We all ...

Reflective Entry 1 The Story About The Oil

... and if she only focuses on her work then she won't be able to spend time with family and spending time with family is very essential in life. Another example is that I know how to be balanced but many times I get off track. I always say that I am going to be balanced but then I always slack off on it. The boy in the story was only focused on the oil not spilling that he didn't ...

Cruisin' down the PCH!

Today was a very visually stimulating day and probably a personal favourite for me. We began our day by cruising down the Pacific Coast Highway (aka the PCH with the locals). It was a beautiful, sunny day and the only thing missing was us driving in a sweet convertible Bentley or something! Not asking for much or anything, LOL! It's just best to fit it and go with the flow!

Our drive down the PCH began with a planned stop at the El ...

    Great Staff! Great Place!

I just cannot say how much I enjoyed staying there. My family and I stayed there for vacation and every single person at the hotel was more than hospitable. I will be sending my friends and families there from now on! The rooms were execellent and the rates are great! I recommend it to anyone.

    Excellent Hotel

Beverly Hills Plaza Hotel is very Excellent, the front desk staff are

very nice. Very helpful also the rooms are very nice and the maids

    are excellent.

    Big time Thieves!

We never even stayed at the hotel and I hate it. We cancelled our reservation at least a month prior to our intended date of arrival and they still charged our card. No bill was sent. We had just disposed of the cancellation number when the charge showed up on our bill. They claim they can't do anything without this cancellation number. It seems to be their standard operating procedure to bill for the room even if it was cancelled and then the burden of proof is on the customer.

    Excellent hotel

This hotel was great. Location was perfect, the rooms were big and clean. Stayed there for 4 days in september and was a great setting. Only downside was that the walls were alittle thin. P.S. if you rent a car, park across the street or on a side street otherwise they charge $15 a night

I booked this hotel for every Tuesday in the month of September and October because of a class in LA. They were running a special through TravelZoo-When my class was cancelled, I called to cancel the reservation-They told me no problem they would take care of it and now I find I am being charged every Tuesday and they will not refund my money. Do not stay here-do not give them your credit card number!!!!

    Loved The Hotel!

The staff were really nice. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the location of the hotel is very central to shopping.

    Beware of credit card charges

The rooms are great but beware of credit card charges these people like to charge u things after u have left.

    Didn't Like Beverly Hills Plaza

This hotel rooms are very spacious but it lacked the atmosphere of a nice hotel you think you would find with the name it has. First of all, the layout of the rooms is like a maze (Good Luck finding it) Make sure when they ask if you would like help with your luggage to accept. Nothing like carrying several bags up many different stairs to get to your room. If your going to need a taxi call ahead at least 30 minutes before you need to go. The restaurant/bar is a closet. No room at all. The location is not the best. There is nothing around you can walk to. My experience here was not what I had expected. The pictures on the internet do a lot of justice to the rooms.

Beverly Hills Plaza Hotel!!! A Gem!!

The rooms are beautiful and the hotel is a beautiful retreat. All the hotel staff were extremely accommodating and I had the best time in LA. I highly reccommend this to anyone going to Los Angeles.

Beware. These people are theives and the place is crap. First of all, the walls are paper thin. We had to switch rooms it was so bad to a room with no one next to us. Of course we went to a smaller room for the same price. Second, they charged us for another room that we did not use even though they had given us a cancellation number. The refuse to refund the money. Why give us the cancellation number and tell us we were cancelled if you weren't going to refund the money? Why not tell us, and we would have used the extra room. Finally, thwy charged us long distance rates for local calls, until we complained and they removed the charges. THEIVES!
