... and clouds, quite gorgeous. And then flying over the clouds we got to see the sun set, quite stunning. We got in and hopped on a bus to take us to the city center of Brussels where our hostel was, and took a short walk there. There we met an Australian friend and we all got ready and headed out on the town. It was a late night and we need to get up early tomorrow, so it's off to ...

Eventually, after much deliberation, I went for the Carbonnade Flamanade ...

We hired a car for two days. Sarah and co took it to Bruge for the first day, so we took the opportunity to check out Brussels. Firstly, we were allocated dinner duty so we had to make sure that it was possible, so we went past the supermarket before doubling back to the square to catch the HOHO bus. The map was unreadable! It was apparent, but not immediately, this is the worst HOHO bus service ever. It is not user friendly ...

    Belgique?

... told me that we were nearby and eventually found a public city car park to park in.
We headed out into the city centre in search of three things in no particular order: the hotel itself, a cash machine and wifi. Could we achieve one of these? Nope. I needed the toilet and thought I could get within my comfort zone by heading towards the nearest McDonalds. The wifi didn't work and the toilets were 30c - ah problem - hadn't acheived the money task yet. This made it clear what ...
