And so after a long flight - 12+ hours - we arrived in Paris, grabbed a quick drink and then on to Birmingham. Unfortunately, Pat's suitcase decided to stop off in Paris but will hopefully be delivered tomorrow! Back to a sunny UK, with a temperature not much cooler than Hanoi yesterday, where the blossom is in full swing. Lots of memories of a lovely holiday. ...

It was very dark and wet when we woke up to the alarm. Leanne arrived as planned and drove us to the airport. Unfortunately, as we left the M6 there was a huge tail back where we needed to go, presumably due to an accident.. We sat in it for a while, moving 100yds in 10 mins. This will not be a long post. I'm going to let the pictures speak for ...

... opener as so many of the buildings are Tudor style and have a bit of a lean happening. Perhaps it is just to make them look older but Vicki was a little worried about the stability in some cases!

We wandered along the pretty impressive selection of shops and had lunch near the canal. We watched some locks in action as some of the canal boats passed. We saw a sign which gave an indication of the amount of time it takes to ...

... Guess Who characters (Matthew? The one with the hair that turns into a beard). We had a burger and chips in the posh restaurant downstairs in our hostel and watched a Michael Moore film called 'Sicko' together which was quite interesting. We spent the rest of our time in Qingdao buying lots of kebabs, buying whatever we liked from the supermarket as it was so damn cheap, going to the Tsingtao brewery for a private tour, even though the woman seemed to be more interested in Burberry ...
