... town. Stopped in a coffee shop, ate lunch, and charged my phone. This took awhile but I didn't mind since I was so tired. I headed for the Shambles after lunch. The Shambles is an old street in York, with "overhanging timber-framed buildings, some dating back as far as the fourteenth century." (thanks wiki!) It's perfectly picturesque, and is the most famous street in Britain. Basically it's just a bunch of shops, but you can't help but get that old time feel, especially ...

We need to apply on-line, print off the application, have a picture taken, fill out some additional forms for non UK citizens, send it overnight with a special delivery envelope and get it all back to our last stop in London by Sept 26. It takes 10-15 working days to compete. It literally takes us all day to fill in the forms, take pictures, find a place ...

... On leaving Lancaster, we headed through the Lakes District – we stopped for a wander through Windermere. We had previously stopped at Dove Cottage (Wordsworth’s house) at Grassmere, on our bus trip but only drove though this village. We opted for a different route back towards Carlisle and found ourselves winding along a narrow overhanging and/or rock walled road, through a valley, alongside some lakes. It was a very pretty drive, but ...

It is all over folks. It has been a long while away. It yet in a way it has gone quick. We had the three disasters two before we went and one at the airport in KL when I lost my passport. I would not like to repeat this episode and would advise anyone to make sure they have their passport with them at al times when travelling. After that we have not had any problems. A few minor worries which were ...
