There is no place like Amsterdam. Not only does it home some of the tallest people in the world, it also is home to over 1.2 million bikes… For a population of only 800000. The flat topography of this land means that a lot of the canals that are found are constructed artificially. Although these man made canals create a beautiful city and picturesque countryside that will leave you speechless as you drive through small towns.

... We decided to tackle the canal ride, Sex Museum and Red Light District. And we did it! The canal ride was beautiful, the Sex Museum was... Interesting. And the Red Light District was exactly what it's made out to be.. a bunch of girls in windows with red lights! Pretty basic! So glad that we got to experience all of the stereotypical things in Amsterdam!

I arrived in Amsterdam and cycled out to Camping Zeeburg, a very popular site for backpackers, cyclsts etc.

This exhibit covered his early years and his struggle to learn to paint. He was not naturally gifted as a draughtsman and had to work very hard to get drawing and perspective down so he could begin to create his vision.
