    ... checked out the panda bears that they had and we were lucky enough to see the new baby panda up in a tree being a baby panda. Also saw some elephants, orangutangs, tortoises, horses and even bison! Yeah, we saw two female bison! It was nice/bizarre to see those familiar creatures outside of Yellowstone. We were hoping to see a male bison, since the banners advertising them pictured a bull, but there was none to be seen. We asked one of the volunteers ...

    ... once again and crossed several states more before we made it to our next destination.     Decided as it was a cooler day that so would do a walking tour of the Memorials we hadn't seen. Went to WW2, Vietnam Veterans, Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, etc. Took about 3 hours all up. We were both exhausted afterward and went back to the Hotel to put our tired feet up for a while. Then went to get some sox for Greg, some groceries and some beer.     ... simpler than it was! I wasn't very confident at first. I miss being a child where you are fearless. However after our first ride to the Washington Monument and then onto the Jefferson Memorial I felt in control. What a fabulous way to see things. As the Memorials ad Monuments are all spread out, it allowed us to see a lot in our 3 hours, unlike walking. Such a novelty, I'm glad I signed up.
