... that took us back down to the "touristic" part of town where we ate at a Hungarian Restaurant. Jenna and I tried the suggested suggested lángos, a piece of deep-fried bread with cheese and sour creeam topped. Surprisingly, they were delicious. There were many tour groups but it was not too crowded so we had a good explore of the little town.

For lunch we had a wonderful goulash soup with bread. Always a good meal in itself .rich and tasty with meaty pieces and carrots and potatoes. We sat beside the Danube River for the lunch.

Dinner tonight was sandwiches at the apartment after all the eating out we wanted a quiet one at ...

... used to be two separate cities that combined in the late 19th century (I think) when they became part of the Austro-Hungarian empire established by the Hapsburgs in Vienna. I was staying in Pest, which is newer, and the castle complex is on the hilly Buda side (much older, circa Roman Empire times). The Hungarian wine and champagne festival was happening in the castle complex and I figured this was a good place to sample some Hungarian food ...
