... barbershop. Tom gave Jens an excellent haircut. He had 60 years experience as a barber and told that he was stationed in Germany during the Korean War in 1950-53 and considered himself lucky not to have been sent there. ... experience so it was naptime. What this really means is it was time for poor Ricky to try to be still and quiet while his poor little bride suffered her jet lag crash. Three hours later, I emerged from my coma and met him at a corner cafe. He's not very good at still and quiet and so had vacated the room. A lovely snack of prosciutto, cheese, and bread was followed by a trip to Museo Nazionale Romano. Grabbed a cab to deliver us to our dinner destination: Harry's Bar. ...

... probably the last major adventure without the baby, who I will call "The Monkey" until she earns a more modest name. (Andrew named her when he saw her jumping around on the ultrasound. "She looks like a monkey," he dismissively mumbled.)

People wonder if that means I will slow down and I got to say, I do not know. My boy was raised on these summer trips, but he was born in April. I might have to prepare the Monkey by driving around the block for a few hours every ...
