Threesome a fait un arrêt au Airway Meadows GC à 30 minutes au nord d'Albany. Ce parcours ne mérite pas 4,5 étoiles...il faut croire que ceux qui ont donné ce rating au terrain devaient avoir fumé du bon stock!!!!! A Day of Falls
... of track. It was nice to see that the trains were constantly running, on so many layouts you only see one or two trains the whole time. All the layouts are built to incorporate three gauges: HO, S and O gauge.
Heading back to the campground we had to take a detour to get fuel. We are finding it very difficult to get diesel at the moment, the nearest gas station to our campground is 30 miles away. Good job we don't have a long trip ...

U.S. Grants Cottage
... cottage still stands and remains furnished as it was during Grants stay. The larger hotel and train line that came up the mountain are long gone. The cottage is only open seasonally and tours are done by a volunteer. I think the thing that surprised us the most was that you could almost feel the presence of General Grant as you walked the rooms he last lived in. And the view from the overlook, referred to as Grants last view, is stunning! ...
