We arrived in Chattanooga crossed over to Georgia and gave up on the 127 yard sale. It was fun while it lasted but we are hot any tired and ready for a shower. Friday, 7 August: Just an on the road day started this morning. Nothing exciting, just the drive back north via the West Coast of Florida. ... found a place on the main road called the Pickle Barrel, and ventured in. Steve explained to the barmaid that we had no ID and could we buy a drink, she looked a bit doubtful, but a guy (who we thought was the owner) took one look at us and said 'no problem' huh! ... as she bode us a good day. What a difference to yesterday. We carried on our journey, the scenery was far better with woodland and mountains now creating a nicer vista. We were on time to make the Holiday Inn Express by 3pm, but were agonising how England might have fared in the cricket.
