This worked fine for us as the hotel shuttle was perfect and the room fine. The hotel is however under major refurbishment and was using adjacent businesses for breakfast & food. You needed to cope with paint & cleaning smells in corridors - no big deal for us.
      Don't expect to walk anywhere.

First thing, we walked Dallas a little looking for a reasonable breakfast (i.e. not fried/donuts) and eventually found a nice café. Also saw the restored Pegasus on the old Mobil building.
Took the light railway to the airport (dubious goings on at the stop) and a transfer bus to sort our plane. DFW is a big airport.

Laughing at old stories and creating some new memories…taking shelter and chatting with strangers in the art studio when the storm quickly arrived at the festival, hearing stories about John working in the family’s meat processing plant, dancing the boogaloo at the blues club and absorbing all the rich musical history at the Green Mill (Jazz Vocalist Kurt Elling’s stomping ...

... she chose not to have it in her tea! After breakfast we checked out of the hotel, leaving our luggage to be collected later in the day, and walked back to the courthouse for the trolley tour. Our driver was Tyler, whose favourite phrase seemed to be "right there on our right" and who spoke with such a southern accent that I kept needing to cross-reference place names with the map we had grabbed from the hotel lobby. During the 75 minutes of the tour we covered 16 miles and ...

... an hour late, which wasn't a problem for us, we walked out of the station to the street and it was snowing. We got a taxi without too much trouble from the station to our new home, not sure about our new home yet, we have been very spoiled so far.

We went on an explore and found the supermarket for supplies, came home and had showers, nothing like a nice hot shower, changed clothes that ...

... or so, watching the faces change and randomly spit out water. I'm going back when it's darker to get a better view of the faces, which are kinda hard to see in the daylight. I picked up my dinner tonight at potbelly. It's kind of like subway. But I think it tasted better. I walked across the road and sat under the Abraham Lincoln statue while I ate dinner. Now back in the hostel, giving my feet a break before I head out again. One of ...
