This worked fine for us as the hotel shuttle was perfect and the room fine. The hotel is however under major refurbishment and was using adjacent businesses for breakfast & food. You needed to cope with paint & cleaning smells in corridors - no big deal for us.
Don't expect to walk anywhere.

First thing, we walked Dallas a little looking for a reasonable breakfast (i.e. not fried/donuts) and eventually found a nice café. Also saw the restored Pegasus on the old Mobil building.
Took the light railway to the airport (dubious goings on at the stop) and a transfer bus to sort our plane. DFW is a big airport.

We had a few hours to spare this morning before going to the airport and it was another lovely morning so I took Graham on the Lakeshore Trail for a run. We went a bit further into Lincoln Park where there was a free zoo but we were too early to visit. Pequods Pizza | Crispy cheese crust or bust!
OMG was the pizza good. The crust of the deep dish pizza was crispy cheesy goodness.
It was the perfect end to our Chicago trip.
... a seat around the bar. A couple of drinks and nibbles at rather expensive prices but hey it was worth it for the views and the photo opportunities. A few of us oldies may remember the Canadian singer Gordon Lightfoot who had a particularly eerie song called the " wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" and remembering that I had to a have a beer by the Great Lakes Brewing Company called the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Time to head back to the hotel for a coffee and a good night catch up ...
... sametime, a glass floor viewing platform. Rox and I were amazed by this feature as these little glass pods stuck out into the sky from beside the building. Clearly engineers had taken out the original window and fitted these huge glass platforms to give visitors a cool thrill. We patiently waited our turn and the first to step out was Rox who tentitively tiptoed out and gasped at how far up we were. The ground was soooo far away and could be seen right below our feet. I ...
