      ... thing that would have made it better would be if the windows were a bit cleaner, it made it hard to take nice photos! Haha good thing it's our memories that are important! There is a little restaurant around the corner from our hostel called Feast that had a really good write up on UrbanSpoon.       ... and go back the way we came. So we'll get the train back to Denver then San Francisco then Los Angeles. And then we'll fly back to New Zealand, then Australia, then Asia. So we'll be home about September. Maybe October.



      By the way, I've just remembered the name of the Mayor of Chicago. Its 'Loof Lirpa'. I told you it was a funny name.


      Loof told me that he sometimes spells his name backwards!!

      ... course) it was the tallest building in the world, a rank which it held for 25 years. The Skydeck observation level at floor 103 opened in 1974, and the glass boxes that jut out from the side, allowing foolhardy tourists with no fear of heights to stand directly over the city street 412 metres below, were only opened in July of 2009.       A nice continental breakfast to start the day, then out into the already rising heat. Its forecast to be one of the hottest days yet. Our hotel is only two blocks from Cloud Gate, Anish Kapoor's mirrored sculpture, known irreverently here as the Bean. Its is stunning beyond words, distorting reality into strange images.
