Historical Traveler Reviews of Best Western Zion Park Inn Springdale
Great place and nice service
from cathdav
We stayed here from July 24-26th and enjoyed our visit. The pool is a nice setting and the back porch was a great place to sit anytime of the day or night. They have a wonderful selection of board games to play and it really started out our vacation on a great foot.

Normal hotel, rather expensive. Thank you for the gloomy room downstairs facing the entrance corridor, though the hotel was not full. Did not try the swimming pool. Good/expensive restaurant. June 2004.
A Nice Place!

A lot to like about this hotel. Firstly comfortable beds, air con that works and was quiet and a really nice warm pool with a hot tub that works (unlike some other Best Westerns). Wonderful views of the Zion Park mountains from the hotel. The hotel is attractive and not monolithic. Restaurant is upper class with nice food but pricey. Overall nice accomodation for visiting the Zion National Park!
A good choice

The Zion Park Inn is a good choice. You never know what you get booking a BW hotel but this one is oke. We had a room at the back. The room was quiet and clean. The staff was friendly and accurate.
Great place to stay

Very pleased with quality of hotel and restaurant. Best Western hotels are always a bit of a gamble but the Zion Park Inn was quite charming with its log cabin decor. Rooms were comfortable and quiet (especially the ones at the back). Liked the landscaped gardens around the hotel too. The restaurant food and its decor were as good as many stand alone restaurants - try the caramalised banana chocolate bread pudding!
Breakfast in the restaurant annex is rather downmarket though.
Pleasantly Surprised

Right from the start, we had a very nice experience.
The hotel is inviting, the front desk staff is helpful and friendly.
Surprisingly, it's not a "cookie-cutter" chain hotel, but a building with character. The hotel features a lot of wood, giving it a nice lodge feeling.
The rooms are modern and warm in decor, with dramaticaly large windows on the upper floor. We enjoyed great views and the bright, airy atmosphere.
I'm in love

I was reluctant to get too excited about visiting Zion National Park again because during a previous visit years ago, I had stayed in a place that I couldn't wait to get out of. Not so this time. The Zion Park Inn and Switchback Grille far exceeded even my highest expectations. The rooms were lovely and the TV reception great. Not the case during my last visit. The restaurant was also top notch. A great menu and excellent wine list, not to mention full bar were all just what we needed. We loved the food! Our table had steaks and this gourmet meatloaf that were all incredible. I think I have fallen in love again. I can't wait to go back.
Amazing! Can't Wait to Return.

For years we have visited Zion National Park and what makes us enjoy it so much are the accomodations at the Zion Park Inn and the great experiences that we have at the Switchback Grille next door. The hotel is always clean and neet with friendly staff who go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. What you don't expect in a place as remote as Zion is a restaurant as good as the Switchback Grille. I spend a lot of time in New York and San Francisco and have eaten meals at Switchback that rival some of their finest. Yes, their finest. The filet mignon, sea scallops and trout are a couple of items that are musts. The service is also sharp. During our last visit Grant took care of us and did an outstanding job. If you are going to Zion, this is the best it gets.
Long Time visitor

We have visited Zion for over 30 years and have stayed once or twice a year at the Zion Park Inn since it opened. We have found the Inn to be a comfortable, quiet, accessible and enjoyable place to stay. The restaurant works a little better the busier they are but we have seldom been disappointed. There are stunning views of Zion National Park from the rooms. They offer good deals during the off-season. We'll be back soon.
Beware

rolled in to town 10/02. Stayed at the Zion Park Inn. The Switchback restaurant is on the property. Popped in for a meal and was VERY disappointed. Steak-Burned, Pork Tenderloin served in large chunks with a terrible sauce. This place is pricey. I hate paying $90.00 for bad food. Try Oscars or flanigans.
