We needed a place to stay near the airport and the Mall of America. This place was convenient to both, and offered a free shuttle from the airport for my son. The lobby was very nice, and the desk clerks helpful. Rooms were comfortable, although one of our rooms had a burned out light bulb in the bathroom. Management was unable to change it, so they put a lamp in the bathroom, which seemed rather strange. Breakfast (included) was decent, and included hot and cold foods.

So it's 10 pm on the night before we leave for our 3 week European adventure. We are freaking many of our more (shall we say) "organized" friends out that we haven't even started packing yet. The laundry is finishing and Mike just pulled our big suitcases out of the basement (remember those things Karen and Jim?). We are leaving our house and beloved pets in the capable hands of Kaylin and Mitch. Kristy promised she would stop by periodically to pamper our depressed ...

... Saint Paul's Cathedral. It was absolutely beautiful, the stained glass was so intricate. It was built in 1908 and finished in 1915 which is hard to believe because of the intricacy and detail of the stained windows and the walls and sculptures, we took some photos. What we have been waiting for, The Mall of America! It's the size of 78 football fields. We have an agenda and know where we want to go but know we will get sidetracked as we go. Andrew ...

... willed ladies and Linda looks like the go-between. Me, I have decided the best approach is to keep my head down and say nothing. As I wanted to test my photo attaching ability, I have added two pictures, one of the duffle bag that each will use to transport supplies and a picture of the two drawings that Matthew and Ryan did that we will give to their adopted child, Mantess. Myhope is to try to send something from Johannsburg Wednesday and see if I can get the map to ...

I can't believe that I'm leaving in SIX days! There is still so much to do. In preparation, I've been doing a lot of shopping and working out, all with Sylvia. We found a nice neck pillow for the flight, an adorable pink bubble umbrella, and a lot of summery work clothes for the office. Megan, my brilliant English teacher friend, gave me a fabulous book list. I accordingly had a somewhat expensive trip to Barnes & Noble. Totally worth it.
