      Great Value

We needed a place to stay near the airport and the Mall of America. This place was convenient to both, and offered a free shuttle from the airport for my son. The lobby was very nice, and the desk clerks helpful. Rooms were comfortable, although one of our rooms had a burned out light bulb in the bathroom. Management was unable to change it, so they put a lamp in the bathroom, which seemed rather strange. Breakfast (included) was decent, and included hot and cold foods.

      The Gang's All Here!

We had hoped to leave around 7:00, and hit the road at 7:45 a.m. ET (not bad for us!). We drove 3 cars (yes, 3!) over to Merrillville to meet both sets of grandparents at Cracker Barrel for breakfast, and to drop off our dog, Jolie, who will be spending the next couple of weeks with Grandpa & Grandma H. From there we said our good-byes, and …

      Happy Birthday, Leah!

This year's trip to Minnesota begins on Leah's 17th birthday. Since I figured out we have been coming to Cass Lake since 2005, that means we've been doing this for 10 years, and we started this tradition when Leah was only seven! (Chloe was five, Seth was 11, and Jared was 13.)

Since we downsized vehicles over the past year, and have people coming and going and different times, we are again taking two vehicles. We (Tom, Linda, Leah & Chloe) will be in the CRV, and Seth ...

... Bummed but not discouraged I sprinted to Gate H6, and yes...just in the nick of time. What an awesome beginning to the pilgrimage to the Holy Land. A beginning which only bodes more surprises awaiting me upon the trail. Although God is good, the exhausted early morning passenger wanted nothing to my getty sboy desire to have a conversation...Oh ...

... to change terminal which was a massive walk through the airport, that place is so big though! The strangest thing happened there though. I met someone I haven't seen in bout 6 years. He was a friend from school and we were on the expedition to Malawi together in 2006. He managed to spot me in the middle of the airport. What a weird experience, I though I heard someone calling Dan and thought there ...

... my top choice. They recently struck oil (2004) making them a textbook case and the worlds fastest growing economy at a point in time. I think there would be a lot of room for Business Development for me to teach in and also learn from local businesses.

As for now, more tests and examines. I would also like to take a moment to thank my mom for coming with me to these appointments as I lived my worst nightmare, shots! She put up with a lot and hopefully no more to ...
