We chose a route excluding motorways and toll roads, and on Hwy 17 sometime before San Jose we hit some woodsy twisting roads and started seeing some redwoods again.       Later, I caught Wavy on stage with Tom Paxton retelling tales of MacDougall Street which was choc-o-bloc full of bitter-sweet memories all pleasantly reflected upon in a continuum sense rather than a then and now (we blew it) sense. Both guy's saw the Kate Wolf Festival as passing the torch.

      We hit the Avenue of the Giants early and it was like driving into a tunnel. Jst magnificent to see these 2000+ year old tree that have survived so much. Even the fallen ones are awesome to see. So thankfull for the foresight some of our predecessors had to save some of these wonders for us to enjoy.
