Simone and I spent the whole day in Norwich yesterday. I had my first taste of a cold day so was rugged up well. I have come down with a cold, so so much for my belief in Olive Leaf Tablets. It's not too bad though, just a few sniffles, so maybe they do work. We went into a lot of Charity Shops looking for a parka for me. Finally managed to get a really nice one for 7 pounds. ... a factory shop. At school, the girls ran out and welcomed me with huge hugs and kisses. The drive home from school at 4pm is in the pitch black now, and takes at least 45 minutes. I don't know how Simone manages to do it every night. I actually managed to stay up until nearly 8.00 and was still up at my normal time of 5.30 the next morning. It has taken me ten days to get to this entry. I've taken notes and photographs since, but procrastinated in all kinds of ways. I am staying with more of 'my English family' as they have are now known to me. David and Pam have been welcoming, sharing their home and their dog with me and taking me out for dinner to a very old pub, where I had to duck my head to get in. I had 3 lovely days in Saxmundham staying with Karen, a kiwi I had met while working - she works as a private carer. It was great to relax with a fellow kiwi and just hang out!!
I also squeezed in two days of training with Christies - one day on Mental Health, run by a psychologist - I was impressed with his approach! The other day was run by an excellent in-house trainer, Colleen, and covered Parkinsons and Multiple Schlerosis.
