On the road this morning again after losing an hour yesterday since we are now in Mountain time. Terry made a remark to the campground owner about some places being green and he said something about having plenty of water. After crossing the Snake River for the second time and know that it was also at Yellowstone I did a Google search…thank goodness for iphones. It seems that the Snake River Plain has the largest aquifier in the world and it ...
Brigham City, Utah, United States psandefur7 hours of "happy birthday to you...happy birthday to you...etc" Not bad. Did average 13.5 mpg thanks to my wind deflector.

The KOA here is nice but not too nice. Tons of full timers. The owner was well on her way sailing with Captain Morgan (3pm) but nice location with tons for the kids to keep busy.
<br ...
Brigham City, Utah, United States dridleyAbout a year ago, my dear friend shared a secret with me. She wanted to go to France. No, it was more than "want", she felt that she "had" to go to France. Almost as if she was being drawn there. When she asked me what this meant? I told her it meant that "I" was supposed to go with her. We talked to our hubbies and they said... go for it. So we started saving our pennies to go.
Providence, Utah, United States whitneyteamThis was our first stop on our way to our next store. We spotted this Hampton inn and decided to go luxury because we deserve it after bumming around the Northwest coast. The rooms here are great. Woke up the next day to a flat tire. Good thing there was a Sinclair full service gas station on the same block. They fixed it for $10.
Tremonton, Utah, United States famousg... of gold, silver and molybdenum. It is the largest man-made excavation in the world. Since open-pit mining began in 1906, more than seven billion tons of material have been removed, creating a pit more than three quarters of a mile deep and two-and-a-half miles wide. "The Sears tower at 1454 feet tall, would reach only half way up the mine. Bingham Canyon ore has yeilded more than 17 million tons of copper, 23 million ounces of gold, 190 million ounces of silver ...
Logan, Utah, United States eskimo13... Anyway, we stopped at a delightful park called the Willard Bay State Park which is next to a fresh water inlet along the Salt Sea. It has a Pelican Preserve and we decided to take a couple of days to see them. It's very hot, humid, and the mosquitos are everywhere. Pat, Doug and I are heading out for a steak dinner.
Willard, Utah, United States cyrano... could without actually closing it....We had to keep it that way until the wind died down. Anyways...We drove through a really cool canyon on 89 yesterday, around 7pm or so. We're off to Denny's (a sorry substitute for Waffle House, but it's the best we can do right now).
Brigham City, Utah, United States bfrogjules... have Fat Tire, which didn't seem to fit in with the Bud selection). But mostly it was the people that made the stop super interesting. They all looked like crack-heads, and appeared to be strung out at the moment, and were not very smart. At all. Sort of slack-jawed, while at the same time cracked out. No offense Idohoans, I'm sure the rest of the state is really beautiful.
Garden City, Utah, United States bfrogjules... and we got to see some v**y int**esting Mormon people in the crowd. It was the anniv**sary of 9/11 and the "s**vice" was lovely - not really preachy at all - it focused on the common man and memories of 9/11. It turned out to be a real highlight of this city for the 3 of us who went. We drove North and aft** a poor din** lunch we ended up in Soda Springs wh**e we w**e just in time to see a geys** go off - this one is controlled to go off ev**y ...
Salt Lake City, United States skcollIt was getting quite late, we were all getting zonked and murderous toward each other, and we were zooming along pitch black highways in the Utah wilds. We found ourselves in Logan where we stopped at a market for Jolt colas. Unfortunately they only lasted us half the way to Jackson Hole.
Logan, Utah, United States scrabubbly
