It was the big day! The wedding was being held at the beautiful Waterton Park Hotel which was a castle on a little island amid the Waterton Golf Course.
The morning of the wedding was hectic like any but the sun was shining & it was set to be a beautiful day.

We entered the city at the "Micklegate" from where we walked up onto the city wall. York is an historic walled city. The wall surrounds much of the old city which can be entered by the various gates. Waterton Park Hotel feels like a miniature castle along with its own moat. They offer 65 ensuite bedrooms with rich velvety accents throughout. Most rooms have views over the surrounding golf course.
The hotel also has a restaurant, pool, spa & sauna which I highly recommend.
