We met a few of Anya's friends and headed out for a couple of VERY strong drinks (measures don't exist in America) at Madam Organs where there was a live band and a lot of stuffed animals around... We are definitely in America!! Before going to the MadHatter, here we met a few strange characters, one guy from Boston though gave us a list of to do and see things in ...

While we didn’t see Arnaldo much, he was ever so helpful in getting us settled in at the place in Salvador. When we ran into him in the street later in the week, he greeted us like old friends. And in Rio, Juliana and Beto ...

    ... area.

Just down the road there are a number of eateries and drinkeries. We spent the rest of the afternoon at the Boundary Stone... just grand. Free jukebox, awesome selection of whiskeys (bourbons, ryes, Irish and Scotch), beers and good food.

Our first full day (as I mentioned was rainy) involved a lot of walking. Monuments: ...
