Great Hotel, The room was interesting with a brick wall, the pool and the game room were both nice. The service was great.

Well after a wonderful week in Petoskey, MI we are back on the road for the remainder of our adventure. Our last several days in Petoskey were interesting and fun. We drove through the Bay View area which was originally formed as part of the Methodist Camp Meeting movement in 1876. It has expanded over the years and is still affiliated with the Methodist Church. It has many summer activities such as music, theater arts, Bible ...

... A river ran right through town and they had river boat tours.

The most amazing part of our short stay (only 1 night) was visiting the World's Largest Christmas Store. Believe me when I say it's the largest I really mean it. It had so much stuff inside I didn't even buy a thing which for me is a miracle. There was just too much to look at. So I just looked while Jim took pictures, lots and lots of pictures. It ...

We hoped that the Baymont company would keep the original, local artwork in the hotel as well as the unique British ...

... delay we would still have time to make our connection out of JFK to Reykjavik. So once again we didn't worry, until... I just happened to check "my trips" on Delta.com and found I had been re booked for tomorrow's flight to JFK and then onto Reykjavik but my travel companion had not been re booked. So in a panic I headed off to the Delta "help" desk where the live person wasn't able to help me but Tim on the Delta phone could. Against his ...

        Church at St John's.
Had fun fitting Jan into the backseat of the VW (She was a very good sport!)
The service was great, had the kids in for the early part of church and all the lessons were about gratitude. The sermon was a reminder to be thankful for "enough" (whatever that is!) We were thankful that we had a beautiful trip and were among friends. Mom of course was ...
