    ... by the time we got to the top of the butte, it was past 8pm. When the sun was too low, the light did not seem to have the kind of effect I was looking for on the rolling hills. I did not get the shots I wanted. Will have to try again tomorrow.

    Back to the motel after another visit to the grocery store for frozen dinners. By the time we ate, it was 10pm. Now I am debating if we should go for the sunrise tomorrow .... If we do, it'll be the Steptoe Butte again.

    ... to our delight they were!! Then we saw it a whole row of pool tables, our minds were made up, pool and a burger it was!! The food was on happy hour so for the two of us with drinks the total came to $14. The food was not the best, especially compared to the awesome meals we had in Hood River, but for 14 bucks you can't complain!
