Group Dinner and Happy Hour.
Theatre Night - Other Desert Cities - at The Liberty Theatre in Hailey ID. The play's subject matter was pretty intense, but the actors did a great job. Enjoyed.
... to ski, this is the place to be. Beautiful.
A few of us girls went to the other close town, Hailey, for lunch and pedicures (Marty, Dottie, Barb). Had lunch at the Big Belly Cafe?? A fun few hours.
Happy Hour, a drive to Sun Valley Resort (absolutely gorgeous), and storing up energy for rafting tomorrow.
An easy day of travel, from Garden City Utah to Ketchum Idaho. We saw lots of farm country and assumed the fields of crops were Idaho potatoes? Happy Hour upon arrival.
The Ketchum area is Idaho's Sun Valley and the Sawtooths. Our campground is not much but okay. Picture is Steve Seitz doing a great job of backing in to his site - pretty close to us.
After leaving Boise, we hung with Jane in Hailey for another night. After dinner, we had a nice riverside stroll down to the “Heart Tree”. This beautiful tree is adorned and surrounded in heart shaped stones. We ended our last night at Jane’s with a movie and great conversation.
The next morning, we packed our car and headed for Stanley Idaho...off we go...
... out on the single lane road. We passed flat salt bush plains that stretched as far as you could see with a distant backdrop of high snow peaked mountains. Was pretty spectacular. We stopped off at the 'Craters of the Moon' national monument - driving around the 7 mile circuit to see the lava, craters and volcanic debris and we climbed an entirely black gravel hillside.
