... to, was meeting Brad. He's a 15-year old Springsteen fan and we met through BTX and tennis (long stoty, never mind). He lives in Detroit and so made it to the pre party and show. Great to finally meet him. Conor you're next, okay? ;)

The show was amazing. But Bruce does need to polish up his geographical skills. He kept referring to Ohio while he was in Michigan. Ah well, he had a classy way around it: "It took me forty years to **** that up". Ha!

I am still at home. Only one more week. Being away from my home for three weeks requires a lot of preparation. I even know the movie that are going to have on the Flight. I am tired already!! Since I will be on a plane for almost 24 hours, I am collecting all the necessary stuff needed to be comfortable.

... folks... which always makes for an even more fun time! There were signs all over the place warning about the amount of blood and how it was very likely you would get sprayed. Much like the splash zones in SeaWorld. They sold ponchos at the door, or you could provide your own covering. Anne, of course, had already seen the show, and knew where to sit us so we wouldn't get sprayed. The lady in front of me was hilarious, she cut a hole in a regular Kroger plastic bag ...

This morning we took a stroll down the Detriot river (huge barges coming through) and saw people catching white perch. Its a cute littel town with classic amercian houses, flags flying, stoops and lots of trees. Very hot.

We are heading off to Niagra today and will stay the night at a Sleezy Six (motel six) or something similar, so no time to go into Detroit. But good to see a little of Rosco and Sue's home base.

... at 2350. There was nothing open AND we had to go through security screening again. At least that wasn't all that painful. All we had to do is have our bags screened and to walk through a metal detector and it was only those going on to the Philippines. They did give us food coupons at first which was bad for us because we had ...

But, on the other hand (laughs) here we are with an administration that is scary in their agenda and absolutely unwilling to learn from the mistakes of the past, or the present. and are repeating the disaster ...

... inside the boat, I took the engine cover off and checked the mounting bolts. Three bolts are very visible and easy to check. Of course you know what happened next. They were perfectly tight but the fourth bolt, with about one inch of clearance to work on it, had backed off and was very loose. 15 minutes later with two skinned knuckled and an amazingly few bad words, the upper and bottom nuts were tightened. Problem solved, lesson learned. I share this experience with you my fellow cruisers.
