... energy or maybe they had a low glycemic index. With that breakfast, I was able to hike 15 miles non stop and without even getting hungry. The trail stayed high on the ridge for most of the day, where from up above, lakes were visible. Eventually the trail took me to Deadfall lake, where I finally caught up with Cuban B and TooMuch. Monday, July 20, 2015. PCT day 92. Miles 1476-1501.8 Today was a 25.8 mile day. I started by 7:30 am and got done by 6:30pm. I even spent about 2 hours for lunch and swimming. So I have a confession. I made a promise to myself to swim in every possible river or swimming hole possible. I am happy to report that I have been swimming every day for the past 3 days. It has been very warm lately, so swimming in any creek or river is always amazing. The creek that I swam in today ...

... first day of driving took us from Ashland, Oregon, to Placerville, California; a distance of about 350 miles. Roxy is getting a little over 30 mpg!  With her 15+ gallon gas tank we should not have too many worries about running out.  But, I will still consult my AAA and GasBuddy apps on a regular basis. The drive down I-5 takes you over the Siskiyou Mountains and Klamath River into northern California. There you will see Mount Shasta looming in the ...
