Getting the Honey Badger in shape takes work! Pete washed and waxed for several days, a section at a time. The biggest project created problems and it isn't finished nor do we know if it can be. That is the installation of the new back up monitor and camera. The monitor went easier than Pete expected but the camera has been a bugger. He can't figure out how to get the old one out! And it is the camera causing an unreliable picture. I've prepared several meals ...
Arrived at the lake and it is beautiful!.....
Lake Tahoe has everything you could possibly want...amazing views, gorgeous lake for swimming & sailing, mountains for hiking and skiing - it's paradise here and is going to be very hard to leave...made a mental note to ourselves that should we win the lottery during our tour we will think about purchasing a summer/winter place here ;-)
We walked bare foot ...
... here and there. There were dilapidated and fully modern homes along the route that dappled the cliffside, right along the Comstock mines.
We parked off the main street and were able to get an unobstructed view of the mountains and valleys in the distance. There were two graveyards off in the distance, along with a beautiful church. We walked along the back road and observed the "behind the scenes" ...
... back to our room for the night. We decided to stay two nights here.
Sorry, not to many pictures today. Most of the scenery was repetitive again. Each and every valley we went through (I lost count as to how many) was scenic in its own right, but similar like the prior one.
We should be home by Wednesday the latest depending on what time Dave’s nephew is available to have lunch or dinner with us.

... almost new building. We walked over to the legislative building. It was very nice, but not fancy. The walls were covered with pictures of assembly men and women, and other dignitaries.
Note: Only 3 states have legislative buildings separate from the capital building: Nevada, North Carolina, and "the I-don’t-know state".
Lunch was at the Big Red’s Ole 395 Grill. We were told it’s were all the locals ...
