... after attempting to book into a Motel 6 we finally got to sleep at approx 3am. The dood at the after hours window had a few issues and the computer and then printer decided not to play fair with him so took over 45 mins to book in. I reckon it was about 3-4 degrees too which is a bit of a shock to the system after ADL weather before leaving to come over.
What a day.....and that was all in less than 17 hours. What else are we in for in the next 40 odd days???
A lovely day -- with an easy drive out to Sacramento, a good day visiting Sac State (which is a very pretty campus, especially this time of year, with the leaves changing), then an easy drive home. Definitely a long day, and I was exhausted by the end of it, but not a bad one at all.

... almost shook apart. Had I the energy, I would have done the same thing.
It has been a fascinating journey. I am left in awe of the vastness of this country and the beauty there is to be seen, as well as the kindness and friendliness of all the people I met. I feel extremely grateful to live in this wonderful land.
Thank you all for sharing it with me and sending your comments.
... of the better executive lounges I have visited, and everyone speaks English! Of course, if you aren't using points to stay here like we did it is fairly pricey (around $300 per night), especially for South America. Use points if you can - it is worth it then.
3) Edenia Punta Soberana (El Calafate). What a great surprise in a small remote town. Full service four star hotel with awesome service. It helped that there were only like 8 ...
... Shame for keeping the class alive while I was gone; Wendy for all your help; My Flying Kiwi tour group for making NZ so much fun; Grandma Julie, Aunt Runapa, Uncle Pichai and Richard for guiding me through Thailand; Squishy for the boat ride, I never would have made it this far without you; Nyla and April for being the best cheerleaders out there; And all my friends and family who encouraged me through the trip. Thank you for everything! You all are the best!
