... hotel that does not open on Sunday. We took the car along to the depot and found that there was a box on the side of the building where keys could be left if the office was not open. We were just about to leave the car and keys when two men came out of the office - they were doing a bit of extra work and saw us and we were able to hand the keys over to them and they put the car away. Phew!!!!
Tomorrow morning we catch the train back to London.

... to Swansea in Wales. We found the local cemetery and looked through the older headstones and found some Griffith surnames, together with other common Welsh surnames such as Jones, Williams, Lloyd, Owen, Johnson, etc.

After Llanelli we drove back towards Cardiff to visit the National Welsh Museum at St Fagans Park. The Park is a large open air museum with examples of buildings from the 1600s to 1900s. We spent over two very enjoyable hours exploring the site ...

... decorations everywhere. We made our way to the forest, where palm trees and tree ferns actually grow outside in England. We crossed a Burmese Rope Bridge and then made our way to the veg gardens and flower beds. This was a magic place and it was only discovered about 20 years ago. Apparently the gardens are about 200 years old but had been overtaken by brambles…nice recovery poms!

... People were walking down these narrow lanes and had to duck into doorways or recesses to let us pass. That may well be the quickest tour by a visitor. The hills were steep and the corners I had to edge around to avoid scraping the rock walls. It would be a near impossible job to be a removalist in the area.
