Day Three: Truro

A travel blog entry by jbaker3049 on Aug 09, 2015

We woke up after quite a difficult night. Christine had been sick in the night and we think that she had caught the same bug that Emily was suffering from earlier in the week. This had woken Emily and Emily in turn woke up Rose, making for a very noisy night! Therefore we all felt quite tired in the morning. I took Rose out for a breakfast to allow Christine a bit of time to wake up and recover. She was feeling a ...

Our day started at 5.30am with Emily waking us all up. Happily she seemed very lively, which hopefully showed that she had got over her high temperature. Bangers and mash, chicken pie, many veg, apple pie with clotted cream. Great company and great atmosphere. Early bed after a busy day of total ...

Gardens, Medieval Festival, and ancient town

A travel blog entry by julie.tennett on Aug 04, 2015

... Looe. Looe centres around a smal harbour with houses clinging to the steep sided valley. It is mentioned in the Domesdaay Book and has the most rediculously narrow streets we've seen. Once again we decided not to use the internet or visitor centres but rather to head to the prettiest part of town and look for a B&B with a "Vacancy" sign. We couldn't get down the street along the river as the streets are so ...
