... decided it was time for new shoes. Around an hour and a half after entering the store (and after a lot of humming and hah-ing) he bought a new pair, funnily enough a close replica of the pair with holes!! For dinner we went for tea at Dylan Thomas' favourite pub - the "No Sign Wine Bar". Jono decided he would like to try "Brains Beer" and after a few sips concluded it wasn't his favourite drink...at all! I am glad I stuck to orange ...

Not a good start...
... couldn't really grip. Assuming that it was just a bit cold, I persevered and managed to wriggle my way free of my rubbery prison. By now, I was starting to warm up and the feeling, and pain, was returning to my hand.
On the way home, my finger became gradually more painful. My attempts to cool the rapidly swelling joint with the car's air-conditioning were futile. Furthermore, the Welsh traffic authority had felt the need to put some speed ...
