          Well I haven't posted in a day or so as nothing vaguely interesting has been happening other than driving sleeping and driving. We have arrived in Rossland where it's cold and raining. This is definitely a young person town. Talent everywhere and very friendly, if it wasn't so Fing cold might be a cool place to hang out. Have got Declan organised, found a house for rent via Google and he was able to score it for 2 months at $100 ...

          After a late checkout at the Hume, we made our way towards Kimberly via the legendary Kootenay Pass (the highest pass in BC that is kept open during the winter months). The pass lies between Salmo and Creston. This is 'proper' backcountry touring'! Park the car alongside the highway, no resort, no lifts, skin up and go! Fantastic!
