Back on base at Meredyth's and on Friday we go to Waco Zoo in Cameron Park. This is relatively small and child friendly. so much so that it was heaving with school trips in the morning. it was quite well done but rather small enclosures for the lions & tiger. Max had a great time.
Saturday morning and after a visit to the Sunday/Pre-school Yard Sale, where Meredyth gets 3 boxes of train track stuff for $20, we head to Temple station for the train back ...

... was missing however as he was helping Thomas at nearby Grapevine in a Thomas & Friends day. Max is 'choo-choo' mad so it's to Grapevine we go and a fun Thomas afternoon. We are too late to get train tickets (someone is cleaning up here) but it was a fun event. My husband is from Chicago so he things it's hilarious! Whatever, we have fun!!!!! ...

... Quiet Co-founder of ESPN. We both pulled into the rest area outside Brownwood. TX at the same time and got to talking. I've gotta get his book (in pic). Crazy life he had and how he got past being told he was too dumb by parents and sabotaged always.

Pic 12 - Diane 36 Years Later: Finally, my first 36 year class reunion. This is my high school friend Diane. She looks exactly as I remember her! Had a great time catching up with our lives and ...

... Cinnabon! Along hwy 35, Tad pulled off on a random exit and announced we were going to the Inner Space Caverns. He'd seen a billboard a few miles earlier and thought it looked fun. It was an amazing experience. We took a 1.5 hour guided walking tour underground through the cave, learning about how it was discovered, what minerals line it, and which animal fossils were found. The girls did great. On our way again to Austin. We checked into the Embassy Suites and then back to ...
