The bus trip to Kuala Terengganu to the south was more of a challenge, we got up early and went to the bus station hoping to find a local bus to Kuantan where we could get off at Cherating, a sleepy holiday village we had read about. Information was scarce and the bus touts and taxi drivers were proving less than helpful.

We had the option to get on a private bus a tout was trying to push but we thought we would wait for the local bus which we figured ...

They were several years into their pilgrimage and were heading to indonesia for a few years. Then cross the pacific . Work in the usa. Then head south to latin america. Wow. I was mesmerized by their talent and vision.

... the same guesthouse as us going to Kuala
Lumpur the same day we were so we hitched a ride with him and the driving of this guy scared the **** out of me. First time I've ever been nervous riding in a vehicle in a foreign country. He would drive on the shoulder during traffic, almost ran a couple of motorcyclist off the road and then claimed that it was the motorcyclist that didn't value their own lives. But we made it to Kuala Lumpur alive and for free!!
