Best Western Sunset Plaza Hotel West Hollywood

This is the coolest Best Western I have ever seen. I felt like I was in New Orleans. Very nice desk clerks, clean rooms and beautiful pool. We hit all the bars around us and had a great time!! Very convenient for young couples and families!! 5 stars!!

I stayed at Sunset Plaza for four nights December 2003. I have to say that it is the nicest BW that I have stayed at. The grounds are amazing! The courtyard with the pool has beautiful flowers surrounding the area. An outdoor jacuzzi would be nice! Even though the hotel is on the busy street, you could not hear the night life at all! The bathroom was very clean and oversized. The continental breakfast was a great treat. The matress was very comfortable. I would stay here again!

I stayed at the Sunset Plaza this past weekend and was mostly pleased with the hotel. The location is perfect if your going for the night life, the pool was nice, and price was worth it concidering the hotels that are next to this hotel are double or triple the price of this one. The one complaint I do have is that the rooms do have a damp smell, it wasn't too over powering, but I would bring a candle with me next time.

After reading the positive reviews I made reservations at the Best Western Sunset Plaza. I could not honestly find the jewel in this property. I checked in went to my room and it had an odor so I was given another room that room also had an odor and the bedspread was not very clean. I checked out and went to another property. The elevators were hot and slow. The only thing positive that I can say about this property is it's in a good location for those who are looking to party on Sunset Blvd because it is surrounded by clubs, bars, etc. -- DJDJ

A great hotel located on the busy Sunset Strip. Provides a quiet oasis amongst the busy nightlife of LA. The whole family agreed this was the best hotel we stayed in during our tour of California.

This hotel is the Jewel of Sunset Boulevard. The exterior exudes quality - the pool and rest areas are out of this world and the staff were the most helpful staff we had the pleasure of meeting on our California trip. You must stay here if you visit LA. End of Story. Although Angeles is not the nicest place in the world, the Sunset Plaza reminds you that you are in tinseltown. You half expect to sit up from your sun lounger and see De Niro in pool. Do it. You wont regret it.

I am very glad I paid attention to the trip advisor hotel reviews because I otherwise may never have thought of staying at a Best Western on Sunset Blvd (somehow sounds cheesy). Actually, this hotel is decorated in a classic style (dark wood furnishings) and has great flower landscaping in the courtyard/pool area that serves as the focal center where you can sit and enjoy the weather or go for a dip. I wanted a nice, clean, comfy hotel for my mother and myself, and got just that - we even had a view over the hills of the city from our room. The hotel is located on Sunset Blvd., practically next door to House of Blues and not very far from Beverly hills, meaning I took advantage of the location for my morning runs which led me just inside the gorgeous Beverly Hills community. The Best Western Sunset Plaza is also not far from shopping (e.g. the largest Virgin megastore in Los Angeles) and good food. My mother and I also enjoyed the fact that we were picked up at the hotel for a tour of Los Angeles and Hollywood - very convenient! We definitely enjoyed our stay there,and while we did not use the kitchenette, I found it to be a big added bonus! This is a hotel ideal for the weary traveler wanting rest or for a family group wishing to be close to the diversions offered by LA.

This jewel is tucked away on Sunset between La Brea and La Cienga. With the pool in the flower-filled courtyard, we could walk out our french doors, lounge in the chaise waiting right there and enjoy the perfect weather. Underground monitored parking, a friendly helpful front desk, and continental breakfast were icing on the cake. Our room was large, with a mini kitchen, 2 queens and lovely bath....all very clean. Even the price was a nice surprise. Almost hate to tell anyone about this, it will become tooooo popular.

Rooms were very clean and loved the atmosphere! Staying there again this summer.
