On to Gatlinburg (more touristy than in 1993) and through the Great Smoky Mountains National park (still beautiful). Took some by roads and it was lovely. I survived snoozed in short spurts and felt totally worn out and in zombie land by time plane landed in Charlotte. That was a 9 1/2 hour flight.

... I tried sweet-potato fries. Also we all tried Hush Puppies and a Corndog.
Afterwards we went to Uptown. There wasn't really going on a lot because it was Tuesday night, but I loved the city and it was cool just to walk around and see it. The people seem very nice up here and I got complimented for my shoes.
Now I am really tired and need to get a lot of sleep, because tomorrow we go shopping.
... for Teach for America. Caroline was studying for AP exams and seemed a little less than enthused. She seemed ready for summer. Myers Park is beautiful and is just south of Uptown. It reminds me of Roland Park and then we came to find out that it was designed by Olmstead, the same gentleman that designed Roland Park.
