    We then started walking through some of the exhibitor pavilions, where mostly I tried to take a very quick look at some potential avionics solutions for the Long-EZ, while Alex just tried not to get too bored.     One of the neatest areas was the chalet for the US Government, where Alex and I flew the Wright Brothers Flyer simulator, learned about the National Historic site dedicated to the Wrights in Dayton, and visited with a member of the Customs and Border Patrol Pipe and Drum team (he was wearing a kilt).

    We had a nice 3 days in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The town is named after Chief Oshkosh of the Menominee tribe. The town has a lot of old buildings and homes to look at. I was able to play pickleball and really enjoyed getting back on the court. There is Lake Winnebago and the Fox River with the town built around the shores. This is a nice town of little over 66,000 people and the summers are nice but ...
